how to maximize profiles
What do people see when they look you up online? Here are all the places you need to have current contact and resume info so no matter where potential clients find you, you’re always presenting yourself in the best light.
#1 Rule - make sure all profiles are updated, use this checklist to help you update your profiles
Zillow
The best way to improve your Zillow profile is to increase the number of reviews you have. A major benefit of acquiring your reviews is that Zillow reviews are fed automatically into your Back At You website and appear on your agent profile! You can request reviews in several ways, including requesting directly through Zillow, adding your client Closed Action Plan in Back At You (more details in Q4 2021 Idea Book, page 30), by connecting your Zillow account to your Dotloop account to Zillow, and of course by using the review cards you received in the Q4 2021 Idea Box. In addition to gathering reviews, you can also add your past sales and add a profile video to help you improve your profile further.
Realtor.com
Similar to Zillow, requesting reviews and inputting recommendations are the best ways to improve your Realtor.com profile. In addition to a testimonial of your work, reviews on Realtor.com contribute to your rating that is displayed when you’re searched. You can request reviews through your Realtor.com profile by using our Closing Action Plan or by using the review cards you received in the Q4 2021 Idea Box.
In addition to requesting reviews, Realtor.com allows you to self-input recommendations on your profile. These recommendations can come from past clients or someone from your sphere of influence, such as a past employer, co-worker, family member, or friend. Lastly, Realtor.com also offers the option to add your profile video. We recommend that you create a profile video introducing yourself, or you can use the Coldwell Banker National yearly commercials that can help boost your profile!
Interaction is the best way to improve any of your social media sites, including your Facebook business page. One easy way you can encourage more interaction on your page is by asking open-ended questions or polls in your posts. Like Zillow and Realtor.com, clients can review you on Facebook, so remember to direct your requests for reviews to the social site as well. And of course, if you find yourself struggling to build an audience on any social platform, doing some advertising is a great way to build audiences and get more eyes on your pages.
Google Business
Like the profiles listed before, Google Business allows clients to leave reviews. In fact, Google is one of the most popular spots for reviews on the internet. Building a large library of positive reviews on Google could be crucial to your business. In addition to leaving reviews, clients can ask questions on your Google Business profile. Be sure that you’re responding to both questions and reviews from your account. Another option you can do to improve your Google Business Profile is to add high-quality, non-stock images like office photos, photos from closings/listings, and photos around the community. In your photo section, be sure to include your cover photo, and if applicable your logo and profile video. Beyond getting reviews, another way to improve your Google profile is by posting offers, events, outstanding listings, blogs and/or other helpful content. Therefore, when a buyer searches you on google or searches for real estate services in the area, you not only appear but so does your content.
